The top-loading vacuum furnace with pneumatic lid opening is designed for annealing copper products at temperatures up to 700 °C in a vacuum of up to 5·10⁻⁴ mmHg (6.67·10⁻² Pa).

Applications and Technology

What is the SNVS-400/7.0 furnace used for: copper vacuum annealing technology

The shaft-type furnace is intended for high-temperature low-vacuum annealing of copper cathodes, busbars, coils, and other rolled products.

The essence of the technology: Heated copper products are placed in a vacuum (~10⁻³...10⁻⁴ mmHg), which allows:

  • Complete elimination of surface oxidation. In an oxygen-free environment, copper does not form an oxide film (scale), preserving its original color and high surface purity.
  • Performing recrystallization annealing. After cold deformation (drawing, rolling), internal stresses and work hardening occur in copper. Heating to 600-700 °C in a vacuum relieves these stresses, restores ductility and the granular structure of the metal, preparing it for further processing.
  • Ensuring high and uniform temperature throughout the entire load volume thanks to three independent control zones.
